Craig Conover admitted it’s “too messy” for Austen Kroll and Taylor Ann Green to be in combination following their rumored hookup — however that doesn’t imply they aren’t a good fit.
“I feel there’s a true love there,” Craig, 34, completely informed Us Weekly on Wednesday, September 20, while promoting season Nine of Southern Charm. “I’m now not saying that they’re in love, but I think they love each and every different like brother [and] sister.”
The Sewing Down South founder defined that Austen, 36, and Taylor, 28, have been “going through weird relationships” in 2022 that pushed them toward one another. Olivia Flowers confirmed all the way through the October 2022 season 8 reunion that she and Austen break up, whilst Us showed in July 2022 that Shep Rose and Taylor have been over after two years of dating.

“Austen and Olivia [breaking apart] used to be mostly Austen’s fault that it used to be weird,” Craig confessed, noting that Austen and Taylor “had been still going through a weird time they usually were really shut.”
That closeness will develop into glaring on season 9 of Southern Charm as Austen and Taylor’s alleged hook up comes to light.
News broke in March that Austen and Taylor had been intimate after their respective breakups. While Austen teased in the season 9 trailer that “something came about” with them, Taylor denied it and swore to Olivia, 31, that they never had sex. She later admitted to a “kiss” with Austen, but the cast isn’t convinced that is all that transpired.
“In any other global, if [Taylor] and Austen had began to date sooner than her and Shep, I feel it would’ve been a clean dating,” Craig defined to Us on Wednesday.
Fellow castmate Madison LeCroy agreed with Craig, telling Us earlier this month that she thinks Austen and Taylor “would make a good couple” despite the fallout.
Although he would potentially root for Austen and Taylor in another universe, Craig mentioned he informed Austen to tread calmly after Taylor and Shep, 43, known as it quits.
“I take into account caution him, like, ‘Hey, this is probably not the most efficient thought to be spending this much time with Taylor.’ But they said that they had been just buddies,” Craig recalled, noting, Shep used to be first of all OK with Austen and Taylor’s friendship. “Shep admitted [the Austen-Taylor connection] felt like a life raft to Taylor. It used to be his method of staying connected,” Craig added.
However, when the alleged hookup between Austen and Taylor made headlines, Craig confessed he was “shocked.” He informed Us, “I was stunned to see how uncomfortable Austen will get in this second. And you’re simply hoping that it’s now not true as a result of I feel like our friendship [is] in a great place.”
Despite conflicting claims from Austen and Taylor, Craig acknowledged that “where there’s smoke, a lot of times there’s fire,”and teased that “this season’s just a wild ride.”
As the drama continues to play out on display screen, Craig told Us that he’s no longer certain whether or not Taylor and Shep are totally over each different — even with the rumored Austen fling.
“I know that Shep will always have deep feelings for her, and he or she’ll most probably always have deep emotions for him,” Craig mentioned. “And hanging out along with your ex almost definitely isn’t the solution. So, Charleston doesn’t permit you area, so we’ll see.”
