I'm no longer acquainted with Dano's film paintings, however I think he's high-quality as Pierre Bezukhov in the War and Peace tv version (2016). Certainly he turns out extra in character than either Henry Fonda (1956) or Anthony Hopkins (1972) who both seem unconvincing in the Pierre role.
