Big adjustments are coming to Grey’s Anatomy for (*14*)! According to TV Line, actress Tessa Ferrer — who performed Dr. Leah Murphy on the hit ABC clinical drama — unfortunately received’t be returning to the series next season. Though a network rep has refused to verify the news, several sources told the outlet that Tessa has now not been on-set all the way through Season 14 filming and there aren't any plans for Leah to remain within the Grey’s storyline presently.

Tessa, 31, first joined Grey’s Anatomy in 2012’s Season Nine as a Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital intern along new stars Camilla Luddington (as Dr. Jo Wilson), Gaius Charles (as Dr. Shane Ross), Jerrika Hinton (as Dr. Stephanie Edwards), and Tina Majorino (as Dr. Heather Brooks). In 2013, Leah was once promoted to a series common for Season 10 but she later left Grey’s after Season 11 in 2015. In Season 13, Tessa returned as Leah for a guest big name stint to revamp her past relationship with Dr. Arizona Robbins (performed by way of Jessica Capshaw).
Tessa curiously isn’t the one Grey’s Antomy superstar to have gotten the boot prior to Season 14 premieres on Thursday, Sept. 28. Earlier this year, it was once printed that Marika Dominczyk — who portrayed Dr. Eliza Minnick — was once done with the show after Season 13. Additionally, Jerrika Hinton (aka Dr. Stephanie Edwards) left the sequence after closing season to pursue different acting initiatives and Jason George (Dr. Ben Warren) will now star on the upcoming and yet-to-be titled Grey’s Anatomy spin-off.
Luckily, a few new stars have joined the Grey’s forged to make up for Tessa, Marika, Jerrika, and Jason’s absences. Kim Raver has returned to reprise her function as Dr. Teddy Altman and Stefania Spampinato has signed on to play Dr. Andrew DeLuca’s sister, Carina DeLuca. We can’t wait for Grey’s to return to ABC for Season 14 faster than soon!
